De la tierra venimos.
A practitioner-scholar working where land, memory, and justice meet, between Philadelphia and Puerto Rico.
About my work
I'm a Puerto Rican practitioner-scholar raised in Puerto Rico and Kensington, Philadelphia. Across my research, organizing, and consulting, I keep coming back to the same question: what does it take for communities to stay, thrive, and shape their own futures on their own land?
I'm a doctoral researcher in Geography, Environment & Urban Studies at Temple University, where I study displacement across the Puerto Rican diaspora. I've spent over a decade in community engagement, environmental justice, and land work in North Philadelphia, and through Raíces Consulting I partner with organizations on research, engagement, and storytelling.
More about meMy research looks at displacement in Puerto Rico and gentrification in Philadelphia as connected processes.
